Generations before, the royal family was forcibly removed from their ancestral castle in the mountains by a large, ancient dragon.

There was a standing reward for anyone who could remove the dragon, and make the castle safe for the regals to return.

From time to time, men, who were either brave or foolish, would set off to hunt the dragon. Most times, the men would not return.

Sometimes, the men would return saying they saw nothing. Servants would go to the mountain castle to look things over and report back to the displaced Royals. The servants would not return, nor would the servants who went after them.
